These two are just the cutest! Big smiles and giggles – all day long! The day was absolutely gorgeous– perfect and I mean perfect weather! They chose to have a first look under the willow tree before the ceremony, which was so-so-so sweet and intimate. They married next to the water, partied the night away and then surprised everyone with sailing away into the night!
Last month I was lucky enough to tag along with 44 farms at the Austin Food & Wine Festival’s Feast Under the Stars. Needless to say it was perfection. A few of the chef’s included Chris Shepard from Underbelly, featuring 44 farms insanely delicious bone in pot roast, and Uchi Austin. I can’t express to you how perfect and delicious the feast was, unbelievable. Truly a magical night!
The first time I met Tara & Andy my husband and I were at our mutual friends birthday party in Austin Texas. I remember sitting next to these complete strangers and somehow — it wasn’t hard– we struck up a very passionate conversation about …comic books. I remember leaving dinner and remarking to my friend “I love these guys!”, she laughed and replied “yeah, we knew you would get along.”
Tara and Andy have one of the coolest so how’d ya meet stories ever. Tara and Andy met at a comic store. <<first of all awesome>> but wait, it gets better. Andy, notices a cute girl (queue Tara) reading a Star Wars something or another. Andy, the super suave cat that he is, leans over and asks “who shot first?”. BEST PICKUP LINE EVER. For those of you who don’t get that reference, it’s okay. Long story short, she answered correctly and the rest is history.
Since the wedding we have become good friends. I can’t say enough about how much I love these two. They really complement each other in such a beautiful way and i’m so grateful they asked me to be there.
PS: They got married on my birthday, so this day also has some birthday magic glitter sprinkled in. 🙂
